US: Initial Jobless Claims rose to 352K
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 4K last week to a seasonally adjusted 352K in the week ended April 13, missing expectations at 350K and coming from 348K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 35K to a seasonally adjusted 3.068 million in the week ended April 6 vs. 3.103 million in the previous week (revised).
