UK: Goods Trade deficit narrows in January against expectations
UK Goods Trade deficit narrowed to £8.195 billion in January from £8.738 billion in December, according to data released today by National Statistics. Analysts expected the deficit to widen to £9.000 billion.
UK Total Trade deficit narrowed to £2.362 billion in January, from £2.811 billion in December. Trade deficit non-EU narrowed to £3.280 billion from £4.169 billion, and against expectations of widening to £4.500 billion.
