US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 320K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) -According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 15K last week to a seasonally adjusted 320K in the week ended August 10, bettering expectations at 335K and coming from 335K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 54K to a seasonally adjusted 2.969 million in the week ended August 3 vs. 3.023 million in the previous week (revised).
